Microsoft Outlook – Printing your contacts

What would happen if you lost your contact list? Would that be a catastrophic event? Print your Outlook contact list to paper or a PDF file, if you want to be safe.

Here is how to do that in Outlook 2007 or 2003:
(This may work in earlier versions but I have not tested them.)

  1. Go to Outlook's Contacts if you are not already there.
    Go -> Contacts or press Ctrl+3
  2. Select a contact.
  3. Press Ctrl+A to select all the contacts.
  4. Select File -> Print....
  5. Select the form style —Card, Small Booklet, Medium Booklet, Memo, Phone Directory, or create your own by clicking on the Define Styles... button—in the Print style panel of the Print dialog window.
  6. Click the Preview button.
  7. If you are satisfied print it to paper or a PDF file.

I prefer the Memo style because it prints the entire record including any notes.
