Microsoft Office 2007 - Using pushpins to keep documents at your fingertips

We often use the same documents. It is nice to keep them handy. One of the improvements in the Office 2007 user interface is the ability to pin documents to the Recent Documents list. Once a document is pinned it will never scroll off the list. This feature works in Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2007. It is simple to use:

  1. Click on the Office button.
  2. Click on the pin next to the document in the Recent Documents list. It will turn from silver-gray to green, indicating that it is pinned.

You unpin a document by clicking on the green push pin to reverse the process.
