Typing text into browser-based forms can be a hit or miss experience. Have you ever lost a draft when you are using a web-based email client, composing a letter, and your computer screws up? The Firefox add-on Textarea Cache is designed to keep that from happening.

The extension automatically saves the content you type in a in text box. You then recover the saved text in the cache even if the tab or the window is closed unexpectedly. This works for all text entry areas on a web page, not just for email.

An icon in Firefox's status bar indicates when text is saved to the cache. Clicking on the icon opens the cache window.
