Microsoft Excel - Print a list of named ranges
Microsoft Excel provides an easy way to document the named ranges in a worksheet. Here is how to do it:
Excel 2003 and earlier versions
- Insert a blank worksheet into the workbook and select that sheet.
- Position your cursor where you want the names pasted.
- Select Insert - Name - Paste...
- The Paste Name window opens.
- Click on the Paste List button and you are done.
Excel 2007
- Insert a blank worksheet into the workbook and select that sheet.
- Position your cursor where you want the names pasted.
- Select the Formulas tab on the Ribbon.
- Click on the Use in Formula item. A drop down list opens.
- Select Paste Names... item at the bottom of the list.
- The Paste Name window opens.
- Click on the Paste List button and you are done.
