Adobe – Convert PDF-to-text service

Adobe provides a free service that will convert an Adobe Acrobat PDF to a text file. This can be useful if you need to incorporate some of the text content from a PDF file into another document.

The PDF file can either reside on a website or your computer. If you have the document on your computer you will need to email the PDF to Adobe as an attachment. Instructions on how to do this are on the Adobe web page.

They will return the converted document either as plain text or as HTML depending upon your request.
