Cover your hand
ATM’s provide wonderful banking convenience. ATMs are targets for thieves.
Bad guys install ATM skimmer devices, card readers that go inside the bank’s card readers and capture your card information. They also install tiny webcams on ATMs that capture video of you typing your PIN. It is usually hard to detect and foil a card skimmer. It is easy to foil the video camera. Cover the hand you type with with your other hand, blocking the camera’s view of the keypad. It is a good idea to always do this. You never know when an ATM has been compromised.
