News of a major breach at LinkedIn hit the wires a couple of days ago. You can read more about it here. The upshot of the article is that you should immediately change your password. Here is how:

  1. Go to LinkedIn in your browser and sign in.
  2. Hover your mouse over your name in the upper right corner of the browser window and select Settings.
  3. Select Password Change in the browser.
  4. Enter your old password and a new, long, secure password. A secure password includes upper and lower case letters, numbers and punctuation marks. (Make a note of your new password.)
  5. Click the Change Password button to save your new password.
